Was with a bunch of D3 users!!
Nice machine. They were taking images long after the 1Ds and 1D "3"s gave up in the light....
Will be interesting to see how they deal with the noise.

My I-140 is approved. And we are planning to change my wife's status from H4 to F1 student. Is it ok to do that ? I heard that it will be problematic for my wife to go back on Green path. Please advise.I also heard same thing but talking to a attorney is good than posting here..

Hi Folks,
My friend's 485 is pending with CIS and he is working on EAD. He currently does not hold any other visa. In fact his last H1 expired more than a year ago. We recently tried to renew his EAD online on USCIS website. However, we were stumped by a question which asks the applicant about his/her current immigration status in US. It was a drop down box and had many options like H1, L1 etc, but there was no option for somebody like him whose current status is just "AOS pending".
How do we get around this? Do you think it is best to apply on paper?

Hi All ,
First of all , thanks soooo much for this great site. I have a small question. My PD is July 2002 under EB2 / India. I was stuck with name check. Now that name check does not matter because of new rule > 180 days and my PD becomes current from today - April 1 , how long does USCIS take to make a decision about my case ? Do I need to call them and request a case review or do something to see some movement ? Kindly advice. Or is it just wait ?

Valid EAD along with SSN is used for work. As you are waiting for the corrected EAD, you cannot work I guess.

What is the impact on GC (485 application) approval for a minor Customs violation at the airport?.
I unintentionally ignored to declare some food that i was bringing and airport customs officer fined me $300.
Will this impact my 485 application, that i will be filing soon?.
Ofcourse, i am going to mention in part 3 b.of application and provide the fine receipt.
Will my GC be denied because of this?.
Please advice.

"The check or money order should be made payable to the Department of
Homeland Security except:
--If you live in the U.S. Virgin Islands and are filing this
application freely, make your check or money order
payable to the ''Commissioner of Finance of the Virgin
Islands.''
--If you live in Guam and are filing this application there,
make your check or money order payable to the
''Treasurer, Guam.''
Good luck in re-filing!

TSA stresses that security measures are not the same in every airport, and this is deliberate so that people cannot anticipate how they will be screened. Details of the TSA guidance is here.
