We applied in Nebraska in August 2003, Cleared in State on August 29th 2003, Transferred to Chicago DOL on Sept 1st 2003..Got Certfied on Oct 16th 2003...So yes..in some states Labor was VERY Quick.
This is precisely the reason why PERM was introduced and backlog elimnation centers .People filing from Nebraska and Alabama were getting labour in 15 days to a months time .

Is more or less what I've been vouching for in the past.
You pay the dues, you get benefits.
Just like any other organization, since charitable donations are not enough to sustain an organization where the end-goal isn't really charity, imho.
As far as code and prod is concerned, IV itself is not PROD as an organization just yet. We're a loosely-knit community of folks who want to work towards a common goal for out own benefit.
If 25,000 or whatever number we're at pay/contribute/donate (whatever you want to call it) 20/50/100 $/year for "membership", we'll have a better shot at going "PROD", sustaining the infrastructure and the spirit.. and perhaps achieve our goals, imo again. :)

How does that work? There is no law or process to connect an abandoned labor. I had approved labor with a PD of 1999 that got lost when I switched companies. But no one seems to be connecting that to me.

I am happy for following things in life:
1) I still have a job, or atleast pay.
2) I have an EAD, those in PERM, 140, do not have that option.
3) I am better placed than those seeking immigration as brothers and sisters of US citizens :-d or as married children of US citizens.
I am not happy about:
1) Don't have the plastic that says, I can stay on even if I don't have a job.
2) Those from other countries getting "lottery" visa instead of hard work.
Who said "hard work" pays off? It just takes LUCK in life for things to fall in place. From tomorrow, I am just going to buy lottery and do NO work.

Once the window is open. They pre/adjudicate as per the Reciept Date. Also if all backgrounds checks are over...then among other attributes it falls within the "low hanging fruit" area for quick pre/adjudication.
See the Standard Operating Procedures link posted above for a clue. Also recently the NSC confirmed this. Will post the link as soon as I find it.

if all you wanted was a large tv, car, house you could have it anywhere in the world. is that all you came to America for ? is that why you walked the line for years ? if you just wanted a laid back existence you could forget the gc and relax in Tanzania. i think you just desperately want to believe you already have it all. good for you. but then why so perturbed if someone disturbs your illusions... no ... your reality ?
people come to America out of a hunger for limitless opportunities.
many people rightly feel they could do give back much more to this country if they had their freedom. sorry if you're not one of them. after you get your gc you might just vegetate for the rest of your life with the material comforts you've gathered.

would Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Steve Jobs have been able to even get a eb-xyz GC based on their qualifications ? none of them they would qualify even for eb3 - none of them even have college degrees. so much for this eb3/eb2 nonsense. btw the last two are sons of immigrants. maybe the bureucracy here labels you eb1/eb2/eb3 for its convenince - it'll be sad if we actually start believing it - not just for us but for america and the world. the USCIS bureacracy is NOT what defines america. in fact most americans themselves think it's one of the worst run govt organizations.
the biggest irony of course is that what actually defines america is in in fact ... immigration! a breaking away from the mold of artificial bureaucratic limitations of the old world.
but as they say - be careful what you wish for - that may be exactly what you get.
to the original poster: your question is unnecessarily posed in the negative. a better question would be, what does American gain from recent immigration ? a hint. the answer is not mortgages or uscis receipt fees.
