I know this is not the Forum to discuss this matter.
But I hope this should answer some questions
1. Home Loans if the Loan is taken from a US Bank/Mortgage lender
then it is Tax deductible because they send out a 1040 at the end of Tax year.
2. But if the Home Loan is taken from a a NON-US Bank, then it is not Tax deductible in the US. As they do not send out a 1040.
But I hope this should answer some questions

The other thing i'm trying is your Option 2 - If that succeeds ( before our Indian Brother files lawsuit to stop Porting) I should be good. But that's a dream because my EB3-I 140 is stuck at Nebraska - once that comes out of that hell , i should be going on full steam. It wont be difficult to find a Job with my skillset who will sponsor me a new PERM and new EB2 140 and port my Lousy Eb3 140 Priority Date.
I am exactly in the same situation. Sometimes I feel that I should just dump the EB3 application (PD: 12/04) and start a brand new EB2. Maybe the EB2 PD of say 12/08 will end up to be better than EB3 12/04.

How does that work? There is no law or process to connect an abandoned labor. I had approved labor with a PD of 1999 that got lost when I switched companies. But no one seems to be connecting that to me.
Its not a rumor. This is real. Coming to think abt it, he had filed a labor in 2000/2001 time period and had abandoned it when he switched companies. I am wondering if USCIS takes the oldest one an applicant had ever filed.

I am not sure if USCIS will move beyond April 2004 until Jan 2009 due to the holidays and election and as someone said they want to take it easy. Even if they move the dates it does'nt help unless they approve cases with certain process in place.

Looks like USCIS did all the easy work in June and now they are getting to grip with the reality (that they cannot process even 140K GC in a year!!!). How shameful. May be all the USCIS folks worked so hard during the last few weeks in June that they would have taken a long break from work after June:D:D
If there is a official press release regarding the visa number wastage, then we can take that along with the July 2 visa bulletin and meet with lawmakers to get some accountability from USCIS. This is BS.

We know that the Service Centers have been working day and night and did not have enough resources to deal with the crisis which was brought about by the recent Visa Bulletin fiasco. We just hope for the better new fiscal year that will start from October 1, 2007.

Thanks 9Years for sharing the info. My I-140 was filed on Oct 20th under premium processing and still waiting for approval.
As next step, are you planning to do interfiling or wait and see if I-485 will be approved automatically ?

I am in too...How can we organize all the members...70,000 is a lot of people, Any thing done effectively and efficiently will make an impact.
That's the main issue we are facing. People come on discussion forums and talk big, but when it comes to actual execution - it is very few people who actually do things and there is no regulation.

Thanks for ur support and understanding. I think we better let these guys take a shot at what they are about to do. Immature and narrow minded is what they are and thats how they wanna be. Looks like they've been watching those Indian vigilante movies a lot and they think that they can get away with fighting a foreign Govt agency. They'll understand what we meant when they receive a cold shoulder from USCIS :D.

BTW, I used to have several red dots before and I don't know why they changed it to green. They still have a block on one of my IP address.

From Sept 2008 visa bulletin: "The Mexico F2A and Employment Third preference cut-off dates are “unavailable” for both August and September, since those FY-2008 annual limits have been reached. The Visa Office had originally anticipated that this would be a temporary situation. Then with the start of the new fiscal year in October the cut-off dates would have returned to those which had applied during June. However, continued heavy demand in those categories may require the establishment of cut-off dates which are earlier than those which had applied in June. A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September."

As mentioned in some of the above posts,
1. PPL mentioned successful renewal of EAD while MTR was filed.
2. PPL reported been able to continue working while 485 was in appeal due to invocation of 140 by previous employer after 180 days of 485.
So, I am sure there is something that is mis-guiding us here. As suggested above, Do you think if sending an email to CIS ombudsman as an individual would help? or can we do it under IV's banner if that is more effective? Suggestions?

We can predict EB2 movement but EB3 is kind of gone case for this year too. Without any CIR, we can just pray that EB2 for all countries become current or at least move until july fiasco date (Aug 2007) so that spillover starts trickling to EB3.
Since EB2 I/C after Aug 2007 PD haven't filed their I-485 yet so the visa numbers if any left out by clearing until Aug 2007 should go to EB3I (the most retrogressed country). I don't see it happening this year but in 2010 it's a possibility.

I just sent a check of $100 via online bill payment to IV. I've also set up recurring contribution checks of $25 every month beginning June. The reason CIS isnt processing EB3 for last 3 months is because the dates are U and since they have lot of pressure not to waste visa numbers they have put all resources into EB2.
I have seen EB2 cases filed in May-08 been approved.
But i know this is unfair for EB3 people like us waiting for over a yr.
